Film Distribution: Connecting with Audiences
Provided by FutureLearn
I gained more insight on the distribution process within the film industry (when, where, and how to advertise an upcoming film) and I followed case studies on proven successful advertising campaigns both in the past and recently. I learned more about techniques and strategies for marketing films, and the various behaviours on audiences consuming media nowadays.
Part of this course had as homework the creation of a poster and editing a trailer for major impact considering the audience and film’s genre.
Fundamentals of digital marketing
Provided by Google Garage
I learned more about marketing terms and strategies that I could apply to my book blog, gaining a bigger reach and engagement in a short amount of time. I understood better the consumer experience and how to advertise a service or product based on the client’s journey online. I discovered other areas of marketing I had less experience on, and reinforced my foundation with the knowledge I gained as a marketing executive in Aberystwyth University.
Part of this course had as homework a range of quizzes that I needed to pass in order to unlock the next module to ensure I had understood what was taught in each lesson.
Así se hace una película
Provided by Instituto del Cine de Canarias
The course taught me what each department does in collaboration to bring to life the final product, as well as the average length and financial aspects of the process, tips, and tricks to get started in the film industry.
I followed the necessary steps for the making of a film from pre-production to post-production. This involved script reading and analysis to then translate those words into images, shooting a scene, and understanding more about how post-production works - including organising the material, executing practical exercises and edit a scene, and the communication skills needed between the editor and director/cinematographer.
